Steven Palmieri, Tax CFO, who helps owners register an S corp.

What we do

We help owners register an S corp and run it well after. We prepare Form 2553 with you, set up payroll for your salary with the provider you pick, keep your books, and prepare your S corp return.

Steven Palmieri publishes these pages, and the practice writes them from its own work. More than one person closes the books each month, so you'll work with a small team.

We meet by video, so owners anywhere in the country can work with us.

Who we help most

We often help owners who formed an LLC and now earn enough to think about S corp status.

We also help owners who formed a company and never filed Form 2553, or filed late and need relief.

And we help owners who are an S corp already but never set up payroll for their own salary.

How a first call works

The first call is 30 minutes, and it's free. We go through your steps and answer your questions. If you're ready, we prepare Form 2553 with you. You sign it and file it.

If you want more help after that, like payroll setup or monthly books, we send the scope and the price in writing first. You're a client only when you sign.

Questions about liability or your company agreement are a lawyer's work, and we're happy to work with yours.

How these pages are written

These pages are general information, and your own facts decide what applies to you. Examples that use a shop are made up. We check tax rules against the IRS form instructions.

Spot something wrong? Let us know, and we'll correct the page. The disclosures page covers how we write these pages and what our work includes.

What working with us costs

There's no charge for the first 30-minute call.

After that, the price depends on the work you want, like payroll setup, monthly books, or the S corp return. You get it in writing before we start.

Many owners start with Form 2553 and payroll setup, then add the monthly books once the S corp is running.

What working with us looks like

After the free call, you get a short written plan with the scope and the price.

Once you sign, we prepare Form 2553 with you if you have not filed it yet, set up payroll with your provider, and start on your books.

Each month we close the books, match them to the bank, and send you a short report. Those closed months become your Form 1120-S at year end.

You can reach us between months with questions. We'd rather hear about a new hire or a big purchase before it happens.

Questions about working together

Do I have to switch software? We keep the books in QuickBooks Online, and most owners already use it or move to it easily.

Do you work with owners in other states? Yes. We meet by video, so the work is the same wherever you are.

Can you help if my S corp is already a few years old? Yes. We catch up the open months first, then start the monthly close.

Ask if we're a fit

Tell us where you are with your S corp, and we'll tell you how we can help.

You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice.
